It seems like Miss Mira is changing and
learning new skills every single day!
She loves to laugh and play, particularly with Rana and Baba,
and she beams when they walk in the door.
Mira has been eating solid foods for about a month now and seems to like how they taste, though she's still figuring out how to use a spoon! Sweet potatoes are her favorite, but she is warming up to a few other sweeter veggies as well as warm cereals now, too. She's had some success at grabbing little pieces of dry cereal and putting them in her mouth, so we're starting to move on to more finger foods. Mira's has two teeth coming in on the bottom, so it won't be long before she figures out how to use them to bite everything in sight!
Our little mover and shaker is full of energy! She has been rolling over for a while and can now do so in all directions. She can sit quite steadily and likes to sit and play with her toys. Often, she chooses to slide down into a creeping position to grab for toys. This week, she actually started creeping to get things just out of her reach - and then she took off across the living room! She's already quite quick and starting to get into everything! Mira also loves to stand with support.
Mira has been a good sleeper from the start, typically waking only once for a bottle early in the morning but usually settling right back down to sleep. However, since she has started babbling and rolling over, she has been more active at night. It is not uncommon for her to wake for an hour or so and sing and babble to herself as she moves around her crib. While it's great to see her making such developmental progress, we're hoping she starts saving all of that energy for daylight hours!
