Rana's Wading Pool

Because the sunshine and warmer temperatures 

returned today, Rana was thrilled to be able to try out 

the new pool that she got for her birthday.

We are all looking forward to having more sunshine 

and more leisure time to enjoy the summer!

Rana's Birthday Celebration in Kindergarten

Rana celebrated her birthday today in the Kindergarten. 

She continues to proudly tell everyone 

she meets that she is FOUR!

And she decorated each of her birthday cupcakes 

appropriately with FOUR Smarties! 

Yum!

Annie's Graduation

 

Annie received her Magistra Artium (MA) today in a 

little ceremony in the oldest hall of the University of Marburg.

It's been a long time in coming, but all of the 

hard work and perseverance have paid off!!

Teddy Bear Clinic

In an effort to ease children's fears about going 

to the doctor or hospital, the med school sets up a 

pretend clinic in the Market Square and Town Hall every 

spring for the kids to visit with their teddy bears. 

Rana went this morning with a group from her Kindergarten.

She didn't hesitate to to register her teddy bear 

and explain his injuries to the doctors.  

Apparently, he fell and hurt his forehead 

just like she did a few months ago!

We were impressed how bold and 

independent she was in tending to her bear. 

I guess it's no surprise that Rana 

knows how to deal with doctors! :)

The teddy bear received wonderful care at the 

Teddy Bear Clinic. They even sent him home with immunization 

records and a hot water bottle and tea to ease his recovery.
