Rana received a kite for her birthday from Tante Roberta.

She happily sang the song from "Mary Poppins" as she 

prepared to launch her kite this afternoon, 

which, as you can see, was a soaring success!  

Home Sweet Home!

Mira sure looks little in her car seat!

Rana loves helping to take care of her little sister.

Mira has a good appetite and sleeps a lot, 

but she's starting to stay awake for longer 

periods of time to take in her new surroundings.

We're so thankful that all is well

and so happy to be home!

Our Stay in the Hospital

Mira spent two days in the NICU as a precaution

and was released and sent upstairs into Annie's room

because all of her tests looked just fine. 

Najeeb tended to both of us - and to Rana at home!

Although no children are allowed in the NICU,

a kind nurse saw Rana making faces at Mira through a window 

and decided to make an exception for us. She opened the window 

so that Rana could touch and kiss her little sister for the first time.

And the next day, Mira was transferred upstairs.

This meant that we could all cuddle with and take care of her!

She thought that was pretty great!

And so did we!

It's a girl!

Sent down from Heaven

Into our arms, 

Our second sweet baby girl

Is sharing her charms!

Little Mira will be spending some time in the NICU as a precaution. 

Annie is recovering well from the C-section.

We'll put pictures on the blog as soon as we are able!

Our Last Day as a Family of Three!

One more pregnancy picture

- at 38 and a half weeks

We keep telling Rana that the baby is about the size 

of a melon, which is how big I feel these days!

While we are ecstatic to meet our new little one tomorrow,

we savored our last weekend as a family of three! 

Birthday Queen!

Miss Rana had an extra skip in her step this 

morning in anticipation of celebrating her 

birthday with her class at Kindergarten.

She happily donned her birthday crown...

and shared cupcakes with her classmates.

Happy 5th Birthday, Rana!

We celebrated Rana's birthday today 

with a few of her friends from Kindergarten. 

She's been excited for weeks, as this was the first time 

she invited her friends over for her birthday party.

We had fun decorating and getting ready for the fun!

The girls enjoyed playing games, crafting with 

iron beads, and making ice cream sundaes.
